After a night of dinner and hearty laughs, Inna, Ann, Bianca, Monique and I were driving home when we met a late night jam at the SLEX caused by a stalled bus on one of the lanes of the road. So as the traffic slowed to a crawl, I resorted to making noise inside the car: telling stories, mouthing out nonsensical thoughts, cracking really corny stuff and… reading the big billboards adorning the side of the road.
So I was reading this billboard about how to get a flatter tummy. I was making a wise crack about it and took note of the phone number to call. Naturally, the girls poked a bit of fun at my desperation to get rid of the beer gut when an even more cracking up thing happened.
The lights of the billboard suddenly went out.
With that, everyone in the car burst in a fit of laughter at the timing of the lights going out.
Hey, like I said, I’m just here for the comic relief.
What a way to cap off the night.
The Last Day
I’m finally moving on, leaving my three-year-old job to take on a different challenge. I have nothing more to say but thanks to all the people who have made my stay there an unforgettable time, and to the friends that I’ve made there (and you know who you are), I know that we will all stay in touch and remain friends even if we’ve all gone our different ways, and I can’t thank you enough for taking part in changing me into the person that I’ve always wanted. The lessons I learned from all of you will always be with me and for that I am very grateful.
As I left my work area, I gave my old work PC a pat on the side for never letting me down in my most challenging moments, I saluted workmates still there for giving me all the help I needed, and the company for giving me that shot and making me a much better person than the day that I started working there.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I now absolutely love Skillet’s food! Thanks to Ann for introducing Skillet food. Everything I’ve tasted from there has so far gotten a five-stars, all thumbs and toes up rating from me! Simply delectable!
I hope to taste more food from this place, and I am positive that they won’t let my taste buds down!
