Cloister Cookies made by The Pink Sisters in Tagaytay City

These are really great cookies – Ann and her family went to Tagaytay City to visit the convent of the Pink Sisters and she bought around three plastic containers of these and shared one container among officemates.

It looks plain and unflavorful but let me tell you, these cookies have a subtle flavor in them. It maintains a slight hint of sweet, a taste a bit somewhat reminiscent of Fibisco Ginger Snaps (just a tiny little bit), and goes perfectly with coffee.

Oh, and one more thing – at first bite, there’s a sense of relief that came over me – I can’t explain it but for at least a moment, I was free of all earthly worries and fears. It’s almost as if these cookies contained a prayer and a touch of heaven.
