EATS

Sr. Pedro Lechon Manok (Roast Chicken)

This is a long time favorite. I discovered this around five years ago – back then it was just P140 for a whole chicken, which was way cheaper than Andok’s which was P200+.

They cook the chickens in a clean coal-fired roaster. You can see how pretty much everything’s done, and is much more somewhat reassuring than how they clean chopping boards at Andok’s.

The chicken meat is juicy, tasty and a lot less salty (but not bland) in comparison with Andok’s. It’s got a sweet flavor. The sinfully delicious juices of the chicken are retained (not spilled) in its foil wrapping, and great to give your steamed rice the flavor from the roast chicken. Goes well with their soy sauce and calamansi.

Mmmm. I love this roast chicken. I still haven’t given up eating Andok’s chicken, but for me this one rocks for less cash.
